Your Data

Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG and Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte AG think it especially important to protect your personal data. By technical and organizational precautions we ensure that your data are protected against accidental or deliberate manipulation and unauthorized access. That is why your online application is encoded when transmitted and the transmission is state of the art.

Online application

If you have decided to transmit your application online, thank you. This will greatly facilitate and expedite the processing of your application.

If your application is for a specific advertised position, we shall store your data and documents only until this vacancy has been definitely filled.

If we decide on the basis of your profile that your application might be of interest to other divisions or companies of our group as well, we shall store your data in our applicant management system for 6 months initially in order to be able to contact you again at a later date. Afterwards you will have an opportunity to leave your documents in our pool of applicants for another 6 months.

Written application

Where you apply in writing, your data will be input into our applicant management system with your consent. Your documents will be scanned into the system and the originals returned to you afterwards.

We shall likewise store your data in our applicant management system analogous to online applications.

Use of your data

Your data will be used exclusively for in-house collation of vacancies and for anonymized statistics. If no current vacancy can be offered you and we believe on the basis of your profile that your application might also be of interest to other divisions or companies of the group, your data will be stored in our pool of applicants for 6 months. Apart from Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG and Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte AG, this pool of applicants can also be accessed by the other companies of the Praktiker Group when filling vacancies. You can find a current list of these companies here. Otherwise, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

This means for you that you will have a far greater chance of being offered a suitable position at the Praktiker Group. By effectively registering your applicant data in the job database you consent to the data provided by you or created by the system being made available to all companies of the Praktiker Group participating in the applicant management system to be called up by them. You may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.
