Saarbrücken - June 11, 2007. Like in the previous year, shareholders of Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG will receive a dividend in the amount of 0.45 euros per share for the financial year 2006. The ordinary Annual General Meeting of the company that went public on November 22, 2005 today approved the corresponding proposal submitted by the Management Board and Executive Board. Based on the closing price for 2006, this gives a dividend yield of 1.7 percent.

With this dividend, the shareholders of Praktiker “appropriately benefit from the success of the company“, said CEO Wolfgang Werner in his statement of accounts presented in the morning. The dividend ratio again fell into the range between 30 and 40 percent of the reported net income like it had been announced to potential shareholders prior to the IPO. At the same time, the company was retaining the necessary financial flexibility to be able to further invest into profitable growth, Werner said.

Around 52 percent of the voting capital was represented at the Annual General Meeting of Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG.
